5 Most Unusual Airsoft Guns
We’ve compiled a quick list of 5 unusual and odd airsoft guns that you’d most likely NOT see at your local skirmish or friends house. You won’t find a single MP5, AK47, M4, or M16 in this list. These rifles are all special and not something your typical 15 year old would pick out (and then have their mom purchase). Whether it’s their form factor or operation, these airsoft guns make an inspiring choice for someone looking to make an impression in their next airsoft skirmish.
1. The SAW M249 MK II by Classic Army
This awesome fully automatic AEG shoots an impressive 420 FPS from it’s ammo box at an astonishing rate of 800 rounds per minute. It’s not cheap at $580 (without battery/charger) but it will certainly make an impression.
2. The Steyr AUG Assault Rifle by Tokyo Marui
This rifle is marginal, and I debated internally for about 10 seconds before I decided to include it. The Steyr AUG is one of my favorites and is semi-popular, but compared to the M4’s it’s still a minority.
3. The Thompson M1A1 Airsoft Machine Gun
The Thompson M1A1 is a classic ‘mobster’ gun that saw military use in WWII and the Korean war. This is truly a niche gun, and not something you see every day.
4. The M14 EBR.
Truly an oddity in both the real world and airsoft, the M14 EBR is a variant of the M14 rifle, which was around before the days of the M16. The EBR is the M14 will all sorts of modernization and add-ons.
5. The FAL Tactical Carbine Assault Rifle.
The FAL Tactical Carbine has been around since the 1950’s, and while it looks like the M4/M16 slightly, it’s definitely NOT a variant of those.

6 YouTube Airsoft AK 47 Videos
Who doesn’t like an amateur Airsoft AK47 video shot by a 14 year old? I sure as heck don’t, and made a quick little round up of some good, bad and weird AK47 YT videos, enjoy.
1. This first video is unclear on the exact make/model of the AK 47 but it’s a good place to start our little YouTube AK round up. It was posted in April of 2008 and is 1 minute 17 seconds long.
2. Despite the standard YouTube obnoxious music, this video is a solid presentation of a custom CYMA Airsoft AK 47. Custom wood job, 330 FPS and a brass barrel are some of the mods that airsoftguy85 has made to this rifle. Oh and please don’t ask how he modded the wood.
3. In November of last year (2007) some 13 year old recorded this video of his UTG AK 47. It has a metal gear box and shoots just a hair over 300 with .2 gram bbs. Clean up those bbs young man!
4. Despite looking like a terrorist ’suicide goodbye’ video this CYMA AK 47 clip is a good watch. I think near the end he pegs some sticky notes … oh the humanity!
5. This one was very odd, and has almost nothing to do with AK 47 Airsoft rifles. What you see are 4 topless teenagers with their backs turned ready for a pelting. It’s half fraternity initiation, half jackass video and 100% weird.
6. Airsoftguy85 wants to shoot the shit out of some stuff. Stuff in this case are CD’s and boxes. Weapon of choice is an AK 47.
