Everyone loves airsoft sniper rifles, probably because every one loves to play a little backyard soda-can sniper! But seriously, if you look at any keyword list you’ll see along with the top general airsoft gun terms, most people search for sniper rifles, more than pistols, shotguns, grenades, machines guns, rifles and the very popular m4 (eat it m4!).

Without further adieu I present to you airsoft noobs and pros-a-like my 3 tiered airsoft sniper rifle round-up.

1. Top Tier – Mauser

I’ve written previously about the Mauser airsoft sniper rifle and labeled it in my review as: uber, kick-ass, futuristic, minimalist, and astonishing. Which should give you an idea of what I think of this spring rifle.

2. Middle Tier – G22

The G22 is a green gas gun (so it’s sorta cheating) that shoots in the neighborhood of 410 feet per second. It’s bolt action, 43 inches long and looks pretty mean. I haven’t reviewed it yet but will soon and I think an argument could be made (and lost) that it should be a tier 1 gun.

3. Bottom Tier – M14

The storied 1960′s era M14 rounds out the list and brings a slightly different take to the sniper rifle formula. Unlike it’s real life counter-part and most sniper rifles, the airsoft M14 is full auto, and can shoot in either mode. This is another rifle I’ll profile in the future as it looks like a fun airsoft gun.
