UTG Generation 5 Sniper Rifle Package
The UTG Generation 5 sniper rifle (M324S Accushot Competition Master Model 700 Pro to be exact) is an almost all metal, heavy, quiet, spring bolt-action sniper rifle that fires .20 gram bbs 325 fps. It has a long barrel which adds to the accuracy, and an adjustable hop up control. This gun is very smooth to operate and can be cocked using only light pressure. When fired the sniper rifle doesn’t emmit much sound, making it ideal for covert sniping. Included in this packace is a UTG bi-pod, a 3 point sling, a deluxe speed loader and two magazines. It doesn’t end there though. We also include an integrated front and top scope rail, and compact loading tool. The rifle is 43 inches, and weighs in at a hefty 6.5 pounds (tipping the scale at 9 pounds fully loaded). The maximum range for this rifle is 170 feet with .20 gram bbs.

Airsoft Sniper Rifles
Everyone loves airsoft sniper rifles, probably because every one loves to play a little backyard soda-can sniper! But seriously, if you look at any keyword list you’ll see along with the top general airsoft gun terms, most people search for sniper rifles, more than pistols, shotguns, grenades, machines guns, rifles and the very popular m4 (eat it m4!).
Without further adieu I present to you airsoft noobs and pros-a-like my 3 tiered airsoft sniper rifle round-up.
1. Top Tier – Mauser
I’ve written previously about the Mauser airsoft sniper rifle and labeled it in my review as: uber, kick-ass, futuristic, minimalist, and astonishing. Which should give you an idea of what I think of this spring rifle.
2. Middle Tier – G22
The G22 is a green gas gun (so it’s sorta cheating) that shoots in the neighborhood of 410 feet per second. It’s bolt action, 43 inches long and looks pretty mean. I haven’t reviewed it yet but will soon and I think an argument could be made (and lost) that it should be a tier 1 gun.
3. Bottom Tier – M14
The storied 1960’s era M14 rounds out the list and brings a slightly different take to the sniper rifle formula. Unlike it’s real life counter-part and most sniper rifles, the airsoft M14 is full auto, and can shoot in either mode. This is another rifle I’ll profile in the future as it looks like a fun airsoft gun.

Each well balanced Airsoft team needs a mix of rushers, mid range shooters and most importantly airsoft snipers. Being a sniper means you generally lay low, and stay towards the rear and support your team from afar. Your role as a sniper may also require you to do some reconnaissance, which might mean tracking an opponent and observing without engaging.
Online there are several resources for learning about airsoft sniping. From shopping for your sniper rifle, to reading about the art of sniping and discussing sniping techniques with other airsoft players.
We found this Airsoft Sniper Forum just now, with some posts that are sure to be useful. Airsoft snipers should also check out The Airsoft Sniper website, with all sorts of information, entertainment and resources. One of the largest and more established forums online is the ASF Forums, with thousands of posts related to airsoft and military sim activities.
Stay away from Nite-Site.com, their airsoft forum is filled with posts from spammers.

The Uber Airsoft Sniper Rifle: The Mauser SR L96
Now I’m not sure what exact model this Spring Sniper Rifle is a replica of (SR L96?), but this uber Mauser airsoft sniper rifle is officially licensed and officially kick ass. Shooting a lighter .12 BB at an astonishing 440 FPS, this gun not only looks futuristic and minimalist, but it backs up it’s good looks with unmatched power.
The Mauser Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifle
The package comes with a bi-pod and a scope, weighs in at 9.7 pounds, and measures 3 feet 7 inches. The loading mechanism is an accurate and realistic bolt action, and the long rifle barrel means accurate shots (which is more important than pure high FPS)
This is a high end spring powered sniper rifle, and because of that it’s more costly than other spring rifles. However, coming in at $205 it’s still cheaper than a decent Airsoft AEG.
